FLUX.3 Image Klein Debuts in Diffusers with Layout Control
Black Forest Labs releases FLUX.3 Image Klein, an open image generation model that supports text‑to‑image, multi‑reference image‑to‑image and bounding‑box layout control, now available as a modular Diffusers pipeline.

FLUX.3 Image Klein arrives as a unified model that handles both text‑to‑image synthesis and image‑to‑image editing using multiple reference pictures. Its standout feature is layout control, where users can insert bounding‑box coordinates directly into the prompt to dictate where objects or regions should appear.
Performance and Quantization
The distilled checkpoint runs in 16 inference steps, producing a 1024 × 1024 image in roughly two seconds on an NVIDIA H100. For environments with tighter memory budgets, the model weights are offered in NVFP4 and FP8 formats and can be loaded with the from_single_file utility.
Developers can invoke the model through the new ModularPipeline class in Diffusers, swapping in or out components as needed. LoRA training scripts are provided for both text‑to‑image and image‑editing workflows, enabling rapid adaptation to custom datasets.
Why it matters for GPU / AI infrastructure: the combination of fast inference, quantized weight options, and a modular interface lets data‑center operators serve high‑volume image generation workloads without over‑provisioning hardware, while still leaving room for fine‑tuning on‑premises.
